Bet-with-El RECAP Saturday 10 May 2014

This week we went to Belmont Park, Race 6, a $16,000 claimer non-winners of 2, a 6 1/2 furlong race run on the dirt for 3 years old and up with a Purse of $28,000.  The weather was showery and the sealed track was rated as sloppy.
We picked the #7 horse, Oghma to WIN. Oghma had a good start out of the gate, being 2nd.  He entered the stretch 1st by 1 1/2 lengths and was able to extend that advantage to 3 1/4 lengths.  Oghma had a nice closing kick and finished IN THE MONEY, taking the WIN spot unchallenged.  Oghma went off as the favorite at odds of 1.10 and returned $4.20, $2.80, and $2.50 for the win, place, and show respectively.  Oghma is by the upcoming hot sire Into Mischief and was claimed out of  this race by new owner Ronald Brown.  Oghma is going to the stable of trainer Manuel Gonzalez.
