Bet-with-El RECAP Saturday 1 February 2014

This week we went to PARX Racing, Race 6, a 7 furlongs Starter Allowance race, run on the dirt for four years old and up with a Purse of $27,000.  The weather was cloudy and the track was rated as fast.
We picked the #1A Horse, Ricky Tick to Win.  Ricky Tick was part of an entry being coupled with the #1 Horse, Peasant, who was scratched.
Because of the entry, the 1A horse ended up in the 5 hole.  Ricky Tick came out of the gate good, but quickly lost ground when the horse on his outside of him, in hole 6, came over on him and Ricky Tick was being shuffled toward the back of the field.  Ricky Tick was 6th at the half pole and was not able to make up any ground going 5 wide entering the stretch.
Ricky Tick finished 7th OUT OF THE MONEY.  The #2 Horse, Crafty Concorde ended up in the 1 hole and took advantage of that post position.  Crafty Concorde came out of the gate good and entered the stretch 1st ahead by 5 lengths. Crafty Concorde finished with flying colors, taking the win by 6 lengths.  Crafty Concorde went off at odds of 4.0 and returned $10.00, $5.40, and $3.80 for the win, place, and show respectively.
