Here is the RECAP for Bet-with-El August 10,  2013.

We went to Saratoga (the Spa), race 10,  The Fourstardave Handicap G2 Stakes Race for 3 year olds and up, run at 1 mile on the turf with a purse of $500,000. The weather was clear and the turf track was rated as good.

We picked the #1 Horse, Wise Dan to WIN.. Wise Dan was ridden by Johnny Velazquez and is trained by Charles LoPresti. The #5 Horse, King Kreesa, ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr, came out of the gate fast and set the pace at average fractions of 24.24, 47.48 and 1.10.59.  Wise Dan stalked the pace setter in 3rd place in an inside pocket near the rail.  Wise Dan entered the stretch 2nd and found an opening in the stretch to draw away from King Kreesa to take the WIN and finish IN THE MONEY.  Wise Dan went off as the favorite at odds of .40.  He returned $2.80, $2.30, and $2.10 for the win, place and show respectively.  Wise Dan increased his purse earnings by $300,000 and increased his total life time earnings to an impressive $4,464,070.

We picked the #7 horse, Lea, as the long shot.  Lea had a slow start coming out of the gate 6th.  He improved his position to 4th at the 1/4 pole and 3rd at the 3/4 pole.  He entered the stretch 3 wide and had to settle for the show spot, still finishing IN THE MONEY.  He returned $2.40 for a show bet.
